Hotel Alpenrose Kufstein – Lindhof Thiersee

Sometimes you
should get high.

Thiersee is a picturesque village, in the heart of the Brandenberg Alps that has preserved its original and traditional Tyrolean charm since centuries. The idyllic Thiersee lake is the natural jewel of the high plateau, just a 15-minute-drive from Kufstein. The diversity of the natural scenery provides a wide range of activities to choose from. Enjoy active days, go on exploration tours and feel the energy of nature. Also, the cultural events and traditions of the region beckon guests and invite them to stay. The small farmhouses, scattered over the mountains, provide the perfect setting for your staycation – and you can be sure, the Lindhof farm is something really special.

Rent a boat, go swimming or simply admire the fascinating Alpine panorama in silence – you can do all of that in the Strandbad at the Thiersee. Maybe you also want to try stand-up-paddling in the 20 to 23 degree-warm water of the lake. Or you take a walk along the shore and discover idyllic, little bays and snug places to enjoy the sun.

The Pendling is one of the mountains in the Brandenberg Alps that offers unique views and provides excellent hiking and climbing experiences for locals and guests. From the peak you can take a look around, let your eyes wander over the majestic mountains and admire the beauty of the Kufsteinerland.

Kala Alm

A hike to the Kala Alm is a wonderful experience not only in summer, when you walk past the colourful flowers, but also in winter when you make your way through the snow-covered fields. But please don’t forget your sledge to race down to the valley on the 3.1-kilometre-long toboggan run.

Passion Play

Traditions are of great importance in Thiersee. According to a more than 200-year-old tradition the inhabitants of Thiersee proudly present the Passion Play about the life and death of Jesus Christ with more than 250 actors, musicians and technicians.
