To say it with the words of your host Stephan Mauracher: „It is our aim, that our guests can feel that we love what we are doing.” Because we really have fun watching the vegetables, the fruits and herbs grow on our organic Lindhof farm; feeding the cattle and the chickens and processing the delicacies we get from there, directly in our Alpenrose Restaurant. Local sourcing takes centre place and is the foundation of our daily work. We want to stay authentic, use resources in a sustainable way, never stand still, but always develop further and at the same time remain true to ourselves – these are the values at our Alpenrose. Luxury is for us to know where the ingredients for our gourmet cuisine come from, to underline their natural taste in all its facets and, accordingly, offer sensual moments of indulgence for our guests. Stephan's passion for the work of a farmer has its roots in his childhood and youth. He always loved to drive to the fields with the tractor and take care of the animals in the barns. Today he passionately dedicates himself to locally-sourced produce, far from industrial livestock farming and monocropping, working hard at the Lindhof farm. Therefore, you will not only meet him at the Alpenrose, but also checking on the growth of the vegetables, feeding the chickens or savouring fresh fruits on our organic farm, the Lindhof. In the Alpenrose kitchen we carefully work with the produce to create moments of indulgence.
The art of hospitality runs in the veins of your host Stephan Mauracher. His parents built the European Ayurveda Resort Sonnhof in Hinterthiersee and established a flagship hotel in the field of Ayurveda. Today his sister Elisabeth is responsible for the Sonnhof, while his other sister Christina completes the Ayurveda portfolio of the family with the Resort Mandira in Styria. The Hotel and Restaurant Alpenrose has become an important part of this unique and characteristic hotels, operated by a strong family, consciously focusing on a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. Since 2017 the Hotel Alpenrose has been a place where authentic Tyrolean lifestyle and traditions are preserved and creative innovations lead the way to the future.

In our kitchen a creative team under the guidance of chef de cuisine Markus Heimannthat is passionatly working to create incomparable delicacies. The chef is convinced, that real culinary highlights have to be in touch with nature and the people, that the guests should be able to savour the quality of the ingredients. If you want to pair the delicacies of our Alpenrose cuisine with a glass of wine, our maître and sommelier Christian Prack will gladly recommend you one of our treasures. He also fills your glasses with a tasty opener or digestif.
