Locally-sourced ingredients

Under our loving watch the animals on the Lindhof thrive. Sometimes we like to sit down and listen to the mooing of the Highland cattle and the clucking of the chickens. In spring we sow the seeds for what we want to harvest in summer and autumn. We grow old vegetable varieties and like watching the fragrant herbs to grow and thrive while we listen to the humming of the bees. Our fruits and veg are not harvested before mature to go on a long journey taking them around half the world, our produce ripens in the sun, is hand-picked and transported straight to the Alpenrose kitchen. Our team is waiting there to emphasize and underline the natural aroma of the ingredients, to lovingly blend them according to creative recipes. Some of them are dried or fermented to preserve their aroma and sweeten the cold winter days.
